BOUND TREE MEDICAL AWARDS EMS EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Dublin, OH – January 10, 2008 – In December 2007, Bound Tree Medical funded 33 scholarships nationwide for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic programs during its seventh round of the Legacy Scholarship Awards. Through the company-sponsored Bound Tree Medical Legacy Scholarship Program, those who have a family connection to the emergency medical services field are given the opportunity to apply for financial support to ease the financial burden associated with the EMT and Paramedic education process. 

“Every six months, Bound Tree Medical awards scholarships designed to reduce the financial burden of individuals that are focused on starting or furthering their education in the EMS field.  We are excited to be able to help those that are eager to work hard and give back to their communities,” said Linden Joseph, President of Bound Tree Medical.   Bound Tree Medical is dedicated to assisting children of career or volunteer Firefighters, EMTs or Paramedics in pursuing a career in EMS, and the Legacy Scholarship Program is designed to help achieve that goal. “Bound Tree has given me the funds to pursue advancement in an EMT class that I thought was out of reach,” according to Patrick Heathcoate, Bound Tree Legacy Scholarship Award recipient.

To date, the Bound Tree Medical Legacy Scholarship Program has awarded over $216,000 to the children of EMTs, Paramedics and Firefighters in scholarships.  The Legacy Scholarship Award promotes the professional status of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Children of EMTs and Firefighters interested in becoming EMTs, or furthering their certification by becoming Paramedics, are eligible to apply.
